Autumn Term 2019
Our theme for autumn term is Nursery Rhymes. The main topic for this first couple of weeks, as we greet our new children, is Welcome to Pre-School. Helping our new little faces to settle in and feel safe and secure in their new surroundings.
We will be learning lots of rhymes, some old favourites and some less familiar. As the children listen to and join in with rhymes they are working towards early learning goals for language and literacy, linking sounds and letters and reading.
We will also be taking time to celebrate some of the Autumn festivals and will, of course, be ending the term with a visit from Santa
Our topics cover all areas of the EYFS curriculum with particular emphasis this term on learning about the natural world and exploring and using media and materials.
Learning objectives are shown in more detail on our weekly plans displayed in the hall. If you would like further information please do speak to your child’s key person
